These terms apply to Quirk Social, an internal desktop tool of the Quirk team. They do not apply to the Quirk puzzle apps for Android, iPhone and iPad. The apps have their own privacy policy.
What Quirk Social is
Quirk Social is a desktop tool that the Quirk team uses to upload the team's own approved Quirk puzzle videos to the Quirk TikTok account as drafts.
It connects to TikTok with TikTok Login Kit (scope user.info.basic) and the TikTok Content Posting API (scope video.upload). It uses the upload-as-draft route only. Direct Post is off. The account owner reviews each draft and decides whether to post it in the TikTok app.
Who may use it
Quirk Social is not offered to the public. It is not a service that you can sign up for, download or buy. Only members of the Quirk team whom the account owner has authorised may use it, on the team's own computers.
What it does not do
- It posts nothing publicly by itself. A video becomes public only when the account owner posts it in the TikTok app.
- It collects no data from other TikTok users, from viewers of the videos or from visitors of this website.
- It does not read, change or delete other content on the Quirk TikTok account.
- It has no accounts for outsiders, no advertising and no tracking.
Your responsibilities
Members of the team who use Quirk Social must:
- upload only videos that the Quirk team made or has the right to use, and that the team has approved;
- make sure that each video and its text follow the law and the rights of others;
- follow the TikTok Terms of Service, the TikTok Community Guidelines and the terms for TikTok's developer products, which apply on top of these terms;
- keep the TikTok sign-in and the stored access tokens safe and report a lost computer or a suspected misuse to the account owner at once.
Availability and no warranty
Quirk Social is an internal tool that is provided as it is. It can change, stop or break without notice, for example because TikTok changes or withdraws its API. We give no warranty that it works without interruption or errors, or that TikTok accepts an upload.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the Quirk team and CJ Commerce Studio are not liable for loss that results from the use of, or the inability to use, Quirk Social, including a failed, delayed or rejected upload. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

How Quirk Social handles data from TikTok is explained in the section "Quirk Social (internal team tool)" of the privacy policy.
Changes
We may change these terms when Quirk Social or the rules around it change. The new text applies from the effective date shown on this page.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
